Active B12 covered in recent meetings June and July have been busy months in the 2007 calendar for exhibitions, meetings, workshops and symposia on Active B12. June started with Euromedlab in Amsterdam one of the major clinical chemistry conferences in Europe which is held every 2 years. As well as 3 posters and a symposium from Prof. Ebba Nexo on Active B12 (holotranscobalamin) a successful and well attended workshop, jointly organised by Axis-Shield and Abbott Diagnostics, took place. The workshop was videoed and will be available soon on disk. Following on from this the 6th World Congress in Hyperhomocysteinemia was held in Saarbruecken Germany. Seven posters were presented and well as a scientific workshop. The American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC) was held in San Diego in July, 2 posters on Active B12 were presented.
